Pyongyang is the capital of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and is not a destination for independent tourism. The United Kingdom advises against all but essential travel; the United States notes it cannot provide routine or emergency consular services to U.S. citizens there; Australia states that independent tourism is not allowed.
